This one breaks cultural norms with beats being the only native tongue throughout the mix! Throwing high vocals and hard bops between Balkan, Asian and then back to Eastern European...before mellowing into the East to close - with no rhyme except the reason to travel into world culture and around the dance floor. It's one for the sun, simple as. Bass, bass, bass...with the occasional minimal beat. The last few were to get you on your feet, this one is to put your feet up. The vibe is a merging of artists both dear, and delightfully new, to me. 'Merge' is probably the word to sum this sound up. I found one track, from Bob Moses, while wandering in India with Alt-J generally providing the soundtrack to the travels. One special track, from Romare, is borrowed from Ollie Moore's gorgeous Float Note series... Put 'em all together with Two Feet and voila! Mixed in 2021

A gentle, but steady, low beat carries higher notes on the micro techno scale... to lift you up, above life's murkiness, to heights where echoes resound. Swooning vocals, twinkling piano keys, and a slow pulsing bass signifies this Icelandic-Germanic sound. MicroTechno!
To the Stars could be a nice follow-on mix to this. Spacious, uplifting melodies continue...

The techno series continues with the upward trend (“Through the Roof”, and beyond); we broke through the solid ceiling of hard techno in that last one, and now we’re out into the night sky… spacious, uplifting, plinky vibes… to the stars! This one has echos of “Echo Techno” and could be a nice follow-on mix. Gentle melodies accompany a very different kind of techno sound than the last few. Part 3. In this techno series we’ve ascended outward past physical & spacial heights, now we dovetail through the cosmos into inner space. I’m dedicating this mix to Patrick, my best friend, dharma brother, & mirror mind. He’s shared so much of my introspective journey and, on many levels, knows my inner world like his own - we sometimes jokingly say we share a mind, but we’re not really joking. 2022 was a full-powered, fulfilling Summer full of festivals, friends and fighting the good fight through creative activism! This mix was made a few years back as an excerpt from my 5 hour set on the Sunday night closing Elements of Change festival in Cloughjordan Ecovillage. The event was a beast of it's own and a blend of (regenerative) cultures - this mix blends beats, breaks and dubstep drops with a frequent, distinctly, oriental twist.
