For those who’ve already completed a foundation weekend or the equivalent, we’re offering a deeper exploration of NonViolent Communication.
While a foundation weekend equips you with all the basic components of NVC, it can still be challenging to put it all into practice. On this course we’ll practise working with NVC to develop more familiarity and fluency, and help it feel more natural. We’ll introduce some more advanced techniques and processes for particular situations, and learn about NVC’s approach to managing challenging emotions like anger, guilt, and shame. And we’ll work with some of our triggers to create more internal space and build awareness of how we can choose to react differently.
Event Details
The event will run from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, with an hour break for lunch, and comfort breaks mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
Refreshments will be provided at break times, as well as a light lunch of soup and bread (participants may also being a packed lunch if they prefer).
The workshop takes place in Cloughjordan Ecovillage in Tipperary. This is on the train line from Dublin and Limerick, so it's accessible by public transport from most parts of Ireland. B&B or hostel accommodation is available locally fro those who prefer to stay overnight.
The trainers, Mel White and Aaron Bailey, work with a mixture of theory and practice. You’ll get the chance to work with some real-life examples and use NVC processes to work through some of the tricky situations from your relationships with the support of skilled facilitators.
Is this the right event for you?
If you’re new to NVC we’d recommend you join us for an introductory weekend first (upcoming dates are 28th February-1st March 2026. Details here)
If you’ve already done multiple days training then do come along, as there will be something for all levels of experience - we think of NVC as a lifelong journey, so there is always more to learn and practice!
Pay what you can afford!
We don't want anyone to miss this opportunity for financial reasons, so we're offering a sliding scale from €65-€120 for the full day, which includes lunch, drinks, and snacks.
For full transparency: the lower rates are not enough to cover our running costs - we hope some people will be willing to pay more to support those who would struggle to pay the full amount. If the minimum recommended contribution is still not accessible for you, please get in touch to discuss bursary, concessions, or other gift economy offerings.
How to Book
To secure your place please either pay your full donation, or pay a deposit of €30.
The remaining contribution can be paid at the event.
